Chad McBride
Consulting Partner
Chad has dedicated the majority of his 25-year career to strategic, customer-
driven innovation. He has designed cross-functional, collaborative approaches to
help teams and companies match customer needs with science/technical
capabilities to deliver customer-valued innovation. During 20 years of Chad’s
career, he worked for Eli Lilly and Company (Lilly). While at Lilly, Chad served in
various leadership roles in Marketing, Innovation, and Strategic Planning. Chad
held global roles throughout his career, including three years working for Lilly in
Spain, and he has successfully developed and implemented company and brand
strategies worldwide.
In addition to Chad’s work with The Highlands Group, he teaches product
innovation and global marketing at the Kelley School of Business (Indiana
University). He also founded and is the President of a focused consulting practice,
Systemic Innovation, and is passionate about helping clients, especially those in
healthcare and life sciences, deliver customer-driven innovation.
Chad and his wife, Teena, are the parents of three college-aged children (plus one
son-in-law). In his free time, Chad enjoys reading, pickleball, tennis, games
(especially strategy games) and spending time with family and friends.
